The Voyageur Trail Association (VTA) vision is to work with volunteers and partner organizations to build a continuous wilderness-style hiking trail from Sudbury through Sault Ste. Marie to Thunder Bay, a distance of some 1,100 km paralleling the rugged Northern Ontario shores of Lake Huron and Lake Superior.

  We always need help clearing trails, keeping the guidebook up to date, writing stories about trail adventures, etc. Please contact us if you can devote some time on or off the trail.

VTA PHOTO ALBUM: As part of its 40th anniversary celebrations, the VTA is developing a photo album of pictures of the Voyageur Trail. Submit your favourite pictures and maybe you will win a prize! The only requirement is that the pictures must be taken on the trail and must be submitted by August 24, 2014 to be eligible for the contest.

The Voyageur Trail Association turns 40 this year, and in preparation we're holding two trail maintenance blitzes. Join the party and help clean the trail. Details on the 40th Anniversary News page.
