Harmony Beach

Reroute Updates:

2022-02-14

Harmony area main trail
The main VT between HA A1 and HA A2a is open again as the landowner has completed logging operations. The southern third of the trail, and the northern third are unchanged. Part of the middle portion is now a skidder trail and a logging road (ditched). I snowshoed the route the other day and added a few blazes.

Parking at Tier Lake / Havilland Lookout Access
If starting at HA A3/ST A1, do not park at McCauley’s Motel to access the Tier Lake/Havilland Lookout trails. Year-round parking is available at Havilland Shores Beach on Havilland Shores Drive. It’s a short walk to the trailhead from there.

This 8.2-kilometre section runs parallel to the Trans Canada Highway to the north/east of it. If you come out via the side trail at Harmony Beach, we suggest you cross the highway and enjoy a swim in some of the nicest public beaches you will find in the area. There are wonderful lookouts overlooking Harmony Beach and Havilland Bay. Parts of this section utilize cross-country ski trails maintained by Stokely Creek Lodge.
