Coureurs des Bois Outdoors Club Outings (Elliot Lake)
For fun fitness and friendship come and join us. Meet at 10:00 am in the Sears parking lot, unless otherwise noted.

Regular Tuesday (easy), Thursday (intermediate) and Saturday (easy) hikes.

PLEASE CONTACT HIKE LEADERS FOR MORE INFORMATION.

For outings bring water, lunch, proper footwear and dress appropriately. Be prepared to sign an Assumption of Risk Agreement. Make sure your fitness level corresponds to the outing level in which you wish to participate.

Hike Levels:
Easy 2-3 hours Level 1 Ontario
Intermediate 3-4 hours Level 2 Ontario

Trail Conditions (updated July 2007):

A1: Top of hill leading to Granary Lake Boat Launch: The "wilderness" section between Blind River and A2 is still remote and may be difficult to follow. (July 2007)

A2: (follow Boline Road (locally known as Gasline Road) west from Hwy 108 ~ 10.6 kim to where it coincides with the trail.

A3: Spine Beach (July 2007): well-used and followable.

A4: Westview Park in Elliot Lake on the west side of Hwy 108 (July 2007): well-used and followable.

A5: Mount Dufour Ski Hill at the top where trail follows ridge (July 2007): well-used and followable.

A6: Milliken Road to Fire Tower Lookout (July 2007): well-used and followable

A7: Take Algom Nordic Mine Road 800 m from Hwy 108, passing the entrance to Stoneridge Golf course, reaching a layby on the right (July 2007): well-used and followable.

A8: Pardee Lake snowmobile trails EL1 and F intersection.

A9: Shedden Back Line

A10: Mink Creek

A11: Hamilton Street in Spanish 1.3 km

A12: Spanish at rear of Vance's Motor Inn.
