This 8.2-kilometre section runs parallel to the Trans Canada Highway to the north of it. After hiking it, we suggest you cross the highway and enjoy a swim in some of the nicest public beaches you will find in the area. There are two wonderful lookouts overlooking Harmony Beach and Haviland Bay respectively.

Trail Conditions (updated May 2010):

Harmony Beach (A1) (road access on north side of Harmony River highway bridge to power lines across from Old Mill Bay campground) to A2b [3.4km]: trail has been re-established and blazed.Passable. (August 2008)

Harmony lookout trail (blue blazed): cleaned and blazed (April 2009)

Harmony Beach (A2b) (Access on East side of Highway 17 across from the Harmony Beach Hotel and Campground) to Stokely marker 86, east of Tier Lake (junction with Stokely Section): Cleaned and blazed (November 2009) There is LOGGING taking place in the area... please be careful to follow the trail and stay out of the way of logging equipment.

Havilland Bay (A3) [Access point A3 relocated approx. 250 meters N of former access in July of 2008.] to main trail [8.2]: This trail has been re-established after logging took place, however, many blazes have been lost so we recomend that you don't use the trail until we have re-posted the blazes. (May 2010).

NOTE: Distance from A2b to A3 is 8.2km]
