Presently, the Sault Ste. Marie to Harmony Beach members and Stokely Creek Lodge keep this 32.2 kilometre section hikeable.
We are 2 kilometres short of joining it the two sections together.

Trail Conditions (Some of this trail is on logging roads (new and old ones). Wear long pants as the rasberry canes grow thick in places.)(last updated May 2010):

Stokely Section:

Access Trails (blue markers)

Havilland Bay (A1) [Access point A1 relocated approx. 250 meters N of former access in July of 2008.] to main trail [0.0]: This blue-blazed trail is closed until further notice. The trail was wiped out by logging and re-establishment of a re-routed trail is expected to be completed by the fall of 2010. (May 2010).

Stokely Creek Lodge (A2) to main trail [6.6]; passable (August 2008)

Rose Road (A3) to main trail [9.5]; passable (August 2008)

Main Trail (white markers):

Beginning of Stokely Section [0.0] to intersection with blue side trail (leading to Stokely Creek lodge (A2)) [6.6] - passable (2005)

Intersection with blue side trail (leading to Stokely Creek Lodge (A2)) [6.6] to intersection with blue side trail leading to Rose Road (A3) [9.5]; Stokely marker 63 to the junction with the blue blazed side trail that leads to the King Mtn. summit viewpoint cleaned (August 2009); trail to King Mountain lookout; passable (2005)

Intesection with blue side trail leading to Rose Road (A3) [9.5] to Robertson Lake Road (A4) [13.1] - passable (2009).

[There is a 2 km stretch of trail missing here to join the two sections together]

Goulais Section:
Witry Road on the south side of Goulais River Bridge, Kirby's Corners [A1] to intersection of blue side trail [3.9] [A2] Lots of raspberry bushes. Cleaned and blazed. (May 2009)

A2 to loggoing road leading east from Hwy 17 about 3km north of Heyden Shopping Centre (A3) (adopted by Chris and Carol) - passable (August 2008)

Yellow blazed loop trail [Km6.0] (adopted by Chris and Carol); cleaned and blazed (August 2008). Lots of raspberry bushes that can't be cleaned--must be trampled.

Highway 17 [A2] to power line and Old Goulais Bay Road [20.1] [A4] (adopted by Patrick Capper) Good (October 2008).
